When you rent a car for your holiday, the last thing you want is surprises: hidden charges, card blocks, airport queues or small print that appears when returning the vehicle. At Autos Mallorca, we work the opposite way.
Our offices are located just 5 minutes from Palma Airport. Let us know when you land and we will pick you up free of charge at the meeting point. Collect your car without queues or unnecessary waiting.

If you are mainly driving around Palma, a compact car will give you greater freedom when parking. If your plans include coves, mountains and rural areas, prioritise a vehicle with more boot space.
Between May and September, demand increases significantly and the most requested models (convertibles, automatics, MPVs and minibuses) may be fully booked several weeks in advance. Booking early ensures you get the vehicle you want and the best rates.
If your trip exceeds 15 days, contact us directly: we offer special long-term rental discounts. The longer you rent, the better the daily rate.
Before confirming your booking, make sure that you and any additional drivers meet the following requirements.

A driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years is required, both for the main driver and all additional drivers.
You can add up to 3 additional drivers at no extra cost. All drivers must meet the same age and experience requirements and be present when signing the rental agreement with their original documents.
Only people registered on the rental agreement are authorised to drive the vehicle. If an unregistered person drives, the insurance coverage will no longer apply and penalties may be charged.
At the time of pick-up, each driver (main driver and additional drivers) must present the following original documents:
Valid identification document. ID card for residents in Spain; passport for visitors from other countries.
Original physical driving licence, valid and held for at least 2 years. Digital licences are not accepted. Outside the EU/EEA/United Kingdom/Switzerland/Andorra, an International Driving Permit is also required.
Debit or credit card in the main driver's name, as a guarantee, for possible damages, excluded items, missing fuel upon return, fines or additional expenses. We do not block funds on your card.
Bring the original physical documents and make sure they do not expire during your stay. You can complete the online check-in in advance, but you will still need to present your driving licence to confirm your identity.
Booking with us is quick and easy. The entire process is completed online through our website, and within a few minutes you will have your reservation confirmed.
If you plan to return to Mallorca, registering allows you to rent with one click, view all your bookings and saved quotes, and manage your details without entering them again. You can also book as a guest: the process is exactly the same.
The rental amount is paid in advance when confirming your booking through the website. Once the payment has been completed, you will receive the confirmation with all the details.
If you add any extra services during your rental (extension of rental days, accessories) or there is any outstanding amount, you can pay it in advance through our usual payment channels or directly at our office on the day of pick-up or return.
Unlike many companies in the sector, we do not make any pre-authorisation or security holds on your card. Your available funds remain unaffected throughout your rental.
Our meeting point is only 5 minutes from Palma de Mallorca Airport, in the Parking G area. The process is very simple and can be completed in 3 steps.
Once you have landed and collected your luggage, call us or send us a WhatsApp message to the number provided in your confirmation email. This allows us to prepare your vehicle and minimise your waiting time.
Follow the signs to “Bar FG Coffee”. Then turn left following the “Meeting Point” sign: you will see a red door with the sign “Transport Meeting Point”.
Our complimentary shuttle bus will take you to our office (5 minutes). We will sign the contract, check the vehicle together, hand over the keys and your adventure begins.
Flight delays do not involve any additional charges. Only if the vehicle handover takes place outside our opening hours, a €30 surcharge will apply.
Speed limits are the usual ones in Spain: 50 km/h in urban areas, 90 km/h on conventional roads and 120 km/h on motorways. There are many fixed and mobile speed cameras, especially in tourist areas. Any fines are the responsibility of the driver.
Pay attention to regulated parking areas (blue zone, green zone, etc.) in Palma and along the coast. In summer, parking can be more difficult in areas such as Cala d'Or, Port de Sóller or Magaluf: be patient and try to arrive early.
You can modify any details of your booking (dates, vehicle model, additional drivers) free of charge, as long as you make the request at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
Cancellations are free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up, with no need to provide any reason. If you cancel less than 24 hours before, only the first rental day will be charged; the remaining amount will be refunded.
Would you like to stay a few more days? You can extend your booking once you have collected the car, subject to availability. Contact us as soon as possible so we can arrange the extension.
A charge of €60 will apply for every 60 minutes of delay. If you expect to arrive late, please let us know as soon as possible so we can assess the available options.
Our team will inspect the vehicle with you, complete the return process and take you to the airport with our complimentary shuttle bus. The process usually takes around 10–15 minutes. The damage inspection is carried out to record the vehicle's condition, although in most cases it does not involve any charge for the customer thanks to our comprehensive insurance with no excess.
For returns outside our office opening hours, please contact us in advance: a €30 surcharge applies. If the vehicle is returned to a different location than agreed due to negligence, a charge of €1.50/km will apply (minimum €20). If the vehicle is not returned and no contact is made with the company, the rental will remain active until the vehicle is returned or until a loss or theft report is filed.
We are not responsible for items left inside the vehicle. Before returning the car, carefully check the glove compartment, rear seats, boot and all storage compartments.
Our policy is the simplest and fairest on the market: full-to-full.
We provide the car with a completely full tank, and you return it in the same condition. No half measures, no paying for fuel you do not use, and no surprises.
If you return the car with less fuel than when you received it, we will charge for the missing fuel at the market price plus a €10 administration fee. By refuelling yourself, you can choose the petrol station that suits you best and avoid this additional charge.
There are several petrol stations just a few minutes from the airport. Refuel shortly before returning the car and keep the receipt: the date and time will confirm that you filled the tank shortly before drop-off.
If you experience any mechanical or electrical problem, contact us immediately. In many cases, the issue can be resolved with roadside assistance, which is included in all rentals.
If, after an accident for which you are not responsible, the vehicle becomes unusable, we will provide you with another vehicle (a signed accident report from the other party accepting responsibility is essential). If no replacement vehicle is available, we will refund the amount corresponding to the remaining rental days. No replacement vehicle will be provided if the customer is responsible for the accident.
This is not covered by insurance (€250). The customer is responsible for the replacement and any associated costs. Take care of them as if they were your own.
Outside office hours, in the event of a medical emergency or police matter, call 112. For any other vehicle-related issue, contact us as soon as possible.

The island is more diverse than it may seem. In one week, you can explore everything from the east coast (Cala d'Or, Portocolom, Cala Mesquida) to the west coast (Sa Calobra, Port de Sóller, Banyalbufar), while also discovering inland villages (Valldemossa, Deià, Sineu, Petra).
The most famous beaches and coves fill up quickly. Leaving before 9:00 ensures easier parking, fewer crowds and better photos. For the return journey, wait until the afternoon heat starts to decrease.
The real magic can be found on the secondary roads: villages such as Estellencs, Fornalutx and Orient, hidden viewpoints in the Serra de Tramuntana and small coves that can only be reached by car.
During low season (November–March), 2–3 weeks in advance are usually enough. During high season (May–September), we recommend booking 1–2 months ahead to guarantee availability and the best rates.

No. All our rentals include fully comprehensive insurance with no excess, including windscreen and tyre coverage.
No. There are no pre-authorisation holds or security deposits. You only pay the rental amount and, if applicable, any additional extras you add.

Taking the car outside Mallorca is not permitted. In exceptional cases, prior authorisation may be requested with sufficient notice and justification; without it, a €950 penalty applies and roadside assistance coverage is lost.
